Action Plan for a COVID-19 Case at school

Madinah Academy will follow the Public Health Madison & Dane County Action Plan. Click here to read the full action plan.

COVID Health and Safety Policy

Following the science and aligning with the guidance in order to keep students safe.

Madinah Academy will closely follow State of Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance in lieu of new variants spreading around the globe. We plan on conducting classes in person unless mandated by the local and/or State government.

ORDER OF PUBLIC HEALTH MADISON & DANE COUNTY: Face Covering Emergency Order in effect October 8. 2021

In-person learning requires a layered approach to COVID-19 safety planning. Madinah Academy will implement the following key universal practices:

  • Temperature checks upon arrival and throughout the day. Temperature checks will be completed at drop-off. Parents need to stay until temperature checks are complete and they are given the green light by the teacher/staff/adult volunteer.

  • Masks on indoors. All students, staff, and visitors who are age 2-years and older are required to wear masks inside the school building regardless of vaccination status.

  • Physical distancing. Maintaining a minimum of three (3) feet of physical distancing (when possible) for all individuals.

  • Cleaning and disinfecting. Cleaning of high-touch surfaces will occur between classes and playtimes. Thorough cleaning of the school building will occur nightly.

  • Handwashing and respiratory etiquette. Covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, throwing away tissues, and washing hands or using hand sanitizer every time you touch your mouth or nose.

  • Staying home when sick or symptomatic. Prior to coming to school, students and staff should conduct daily symptom checks and stay home if they are sick and do not feel well.

The CDC precautions continue to be updated as the circulation and development of the COVID variants continues. We may need to make more adjustments to our guidelines as we move throughout the school year.
