Admission Policy

Non-Discrimination Policy

The Madinah Academy of Madison admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Required Documents

Parents of prospective students will have to submit the following documentation to the Madinah Academy of Madison Main Office:

  • Registration and Emergency Forms – completed

  • Immunization records.

  • A valid birth certificate.

  • A student’s most current report card is not required, but is helpful.

Age Cutoffs and Academic Readiness

New students must demonstrate sufficient readiness to enter their respective programs. They will be admitted based on their performance at an admission test. At present, the Madinah Academy of Madison does not have the resources for teaching children with learning difficulties: speech, physical or behavioral problems. Those showing special learning, speech, behavior or study habit problems may be given recommendations for help from other resources and/or asked to withdraw so that the child can get the appropriate help elsewhere.

Students are generally placed according to their chronological age at the cutoff date (September 1st in the year of admission).

  • Students entering KG level will be five years old by the cutoff date. Students who will be turning five years within the month of September will be given the standardized test to determine eligibility for KG admission. This will only be done for KG admission.

  • Students entering 1st grade will be six years old by the cutoff date.

  • Students entering 2nd grade will be seven years old by the cutoff date.

  • Students entering 3rd grade will be eight years old by the cutoff date.

  • Students entering 4th grade will be nine years old by the cutoff date.

  • Students entering 5th grade will ten years old by the cutoff date.

  • Students entering 6th grade will be eleven years old by the cutoff date.

Recognizing limitations of enrollment at the Madinah Academy, certain policies have been established to prioritize applications for admission. In general, the rule of “first come, first serve” will apply until such time as an admission test will be administered.

Transfer Students

All students transferring into Madinah Academy of Madison are admitted on a probationary status. Probationary status recognizes that the adjustment to a new situation can be difficult, and that special effort may be necessary to succeed. The student will be observed and evaluated during the first two quarters of his or her enrollment at Madinah Academy to ensure academic progress and success. The Madinah Academy of Madison reserves the right to request academic records from the student’s previously attended school(s).
