As one of three children of a physician single mother living in 1980s Pakistan the value of a good education, was imprinted upon my mind early on in life. My early childhood experiences in particular, led me to become a strong advocate of a woman’s right to an education. After completing my medical education in Pakistan, I moved to the United States with my husband almost 27 years ago. By 2004, I had completed my Radiology residency from University of Illinois-Chicago and fellowship from Rush University Hospital in Chicago. I then moved to Madison, WI to start my professional career as a radiologist at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital. I am a diligent observer and problem solver and would like to bring those skills to the table at MAM. I want to listen to the staff and parents at MAM, learn about the issues that affect our school and try to offer some solutions . It is said that people are formed by the landscape they grow up in. It is my desire to provide an ideal landscape for the children of our community where their educational, emotional and spiritual needs are nurtured and where they can become emboldened to reach their full potential.
